*Responsibilities*
You will:
• Develop and execute a media content strategy aligned with the Community Mediation Centre’s (CMC) goals and target audience.
• Create quality digital and multimedia content including videos, graphics, articles and social media posts.
• Optimise digital content for search engines (SEO) to improve discoverability and organic traffic.
• Optimise digital content for a seamless user experience, including mobile friendliness and accessibility.
• Monitor analytics to measure content effectiveness and optimise future strategies.
• Work with different community stakeholders from municipal and frontline agencies to ensure that information relating to community mediation are communicated to frontline officers for the purpose of referring cases to the CMC for mediation.
• Assist in the management of CMC's events including the annual mediator appreciation event(s) and other public outreach programmes as and when required.
• Undertake presentation of CMC’s work during internal and external meetings when required, as well as being assigned as scribe (on a rotational basis) during meetings.

• Understanding audience segmentation and tailoring content for different platforms.
• Narrative-building skills to craft compelling, engaging and impactful content.
• Ability to craft concise, engaging and persuasive messaging across different platforms.
• Ability to align messaging with the CMC’s brand identity and objectives.
• Proficiency in video production, editing and graphic design.
• Hands-on experience with content-creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Canva).
• Deep knowledge of social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok) and trends.
• Experience in social media analytics, engagement strategies and paid media campaigns.
• Understanding of SEO best practices to enhance content visibility.
• Knowledge of tools like Google Analytics, social media insights and reporting dashboards
• Ability to stay ahead of digital trends and incorporate emerging technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for content creation, presentations and storytelling.
*Work Experience/Personal Traits*
• Educational qualifications in one of the following fields – Media & Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Visual Arts or Business with a focus on Media or Branding.
• Relevant work experience in media content creation, digital marketing or public relations. Applicants with no experience are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in content creation software:
Video Editing: Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve
Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva
Content Management Systems: WordPress, HubSpot
Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs
• Resourceful with the ability to adapt quickly to situations and possess excellent interpersonal skills to be able to manage people with various expectations.
• Adaptability to changing media trends and audience behaviours.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Meticulous to details, reliable and able to remain level-headed during peak periods to ensure work is completed timely and expediently.
