Project title: Shaping user-centred policies and services at the Ministry of Manpower
You’ll be part of the Behavioural Insights & Design team in Co-Lab working on challenges that impact Singapore’s workforce, employment and workplace safety landscape. You'll apply behavioural insights and design thinking methods to shape MOM’s policies, programmes and processes.

What the role is
What you will be working on
As a key team member, you will:
- Conduct desktop research or literature reviews
- Engage in user research (e.g. workshops, in-depth interviews, user observations, focus group discussions)
- Synthesise research results into actionable insights
- Create design artifacts (e.g. user journey maps, service blueprints)
- Design interventions and develop prototypes (digital and/or physical) to address user problems
- Conduct user testing and run randomised controlled trials
- Present proposals and research findings to stakeholders
- Assist in running training workshops to upskill other MOM officers in the use of BI and DT methods.
What we are looking for
- Understanding of user-centred design principles and behavioural science concepts
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to think creatively and analytically
- Strong communication and presentation skills
During your internship, you will:
- Learn how design thinking and behavioural insights methods are applied in the public sector, considering real-world constraints
- Gain experience managing stakeholder relationships
- Develop hands-on skills in project scoping, user research and insight generation, designing interventions, and testing
We are looking for interns who can start anytime between May and December 2025, minimum commitment period: 12 weeks (full-time)
