What the role is

The Infrastructure & Precinct Development (IP&D) department leads the development of arts infrastructure frameworks in Singapore. We collaborate with key government agencies to diversify spaces for the arts and work closely with venue owners to integrate artistic elements into the Civic District, Bras Basah Bugis precinct among other locations.

What you will be working on

What the role is

As a Manager in Infrastructure Planning & Development, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Singapore's arts infrastructure. You'll be at the forefront of policy development and space-related initiatives, leveraging your strategic thinking, urban/policy planning experience, stakeholder management skills, and data analytics proficiency to drive the growth of the arts sector.

What you will be working on

  • Lead the management of consultancy contracts for arts space planning in Singapore

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database and strategic framework for Singapore's cultural infrastructure landscape

  • Oversee quantitative data analysis of Gross Floor Area (GFA) utilised by NAC and NAC-supported arts spaces in both public and private sectors

  • Provide expert urban planning and policy insights to guide Singapore's arts infrastructure development, including demand analysis, gap identification, and opportunity assessment

  • Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with government and private stakeholders to unlock diverse space opportunities for the arts sector

  • Develop, review, and refine infrastructure support policies, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations

  • Coordinate the development of annual departmental workplans

  • Support the Development Lead in various project matters as required

What we are looking for

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Experience in strategic planning, policy development, and stakeholder engagement

  • Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation

  • Familiarity with urban planning, placemaking, and government policy planning (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
