What the role is
What you will be working on
Division 1 advises on the legal aspects pertaining to the prudential and market conduct functions of MAS. It also assists in developing the legal framework for the regulation of new financial businesses and in meeting changing global financial standards. Legal support will cover banking, insurance, capital markets, payment services and financial technology.
Division 2 is responsible for the legal aspects of the central banking and developmental functions and international relations of MAS. This portfolio covers a variety of subjects on governance, reserve and risk management, procurement, currency, technology and developmental projects. The international aspects will extend to legal support in shaping international standards for financial institutions. You will also be engaged in issues relating to public international law and private law issues, including on free trade agreements and memoranda of understanding.
What we are looking for
Relevant experience or degree in Law and admitted to legal practice
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Applicants should be Singapore Citizens
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
