What the role is
What you will be working on
You are responsible to oversee the condition of Permanent Way assets of MRT and/or LRT lines in Singapore that is/are assigned to you. You will plan for refurbishment, renewal, improve the durability of Permanent Way Assets and effectiveness of maintenance sustainability under your charge. You will assist senior colleagues in reviewing the design of new infrastructures, in developing new technology solutions for maintenance of Permanent Way Assets and other special projects in managing Singapore’s rail assets.
• Provide Operations & Management (O&M) and Life Cycle Management inputs for Permanent Way Assets of new lines and renewals to achieve optimal maintainability and cost-effective support in the life of the Permanent Way.
• Oversee incident investigations, asset enhancement plan and condition monitoring capabilities to improve asset reliability and durability of the rail networks’ infrastructure components.
• Oversee the transfer of care, control and custody (TCCC) of Permanent Way Assets in the capacity of Asset Steward, to account for, track changes and manage disposal throughout their service life.
• Plan and conduct maintenance and asset condition audits to verify the Operators’ maintenance quality, asset condition and improve maintenance regime
• Evaluate Permanent Way Asset Modification and Asset Renewal proposals, taking into account relevant factors such as maintainability and supportability and cost
• Work with Public Transport Operator (PTO) and LTA Project Team to implement Permanent Way renewal, rehabilitation and enhancement projects
• Develop new technology solutions to enhance maintenance effectiveness and productivity.
• Conduct inspection on PTOs’ maintenance regime and works.
• You will be required to perform night work.

What we are looking for
• Knowledge in Civil Engineering / Rail Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
• Possessing relevant knowledge of railway work and maintenance management will be an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving ability, good judgment, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidates without experience are also welcomed to apply
