What you will be working on

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geospatial Systems Analyst to join our Geographic Information System (GIS) development team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development and maintenance of new initiatives and existing enterprise GIS applications. You will provide technical advice and support, offering expertise related to GIS software development, system integration, deployment and operations. Your primary responsibilities will include one of the following categories: Enterprise GIS Projects • Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyse and refine business workflows, propose relevant solutions and create scripts for maintaining and updating complex datasets • Design, develop and deploy an automated end-to-end data pipeline, incorporating validation checks, testing, system configuration and scheduling to ensure timely data updates • Work closely with GIS development and administration teams to integrate data processing workflows with enterprise GIS applications and data sharing platforms • Evaluate and implement innovative GIS technology to streamline current processes and enhance collaborative geospatial data editing and management capabilities • Provide technical support, implement code upgrades, maintain scripts and troubleshoot enterprise GIS applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability Web GIS Development • Engage key stakeholders to identify business needs, propose relevant solutions to enhance existing GIS applications and align with user requirements • Design, develop and deploy changes to application functionalities using an agile approach with comprehensive end-to-end testing and updated documentation • Collaborate closely with GIS development to implement frontend workflows and GIS features, integrate with backend map services and database, and align with data and security standards • Create data pipelines and application interfaces to facilitate seamless integration with external systems, maintaining consistent data synchronization and timely updates • Provide technical support, implement technology upgrades, and maintain web GIS applications to ensure system stability and meet daily operational needs

What we are looking for

• Degree in computer science, GIS or related disciplines • Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in designing, developing and implementing web-based GIS application solutions or enterprise GIS systems • Driven and skilled in collaborating with teams to analyse business requirements and leverage geospatial technologies to design and implement tailored solutions for enterprise GIS applications • Possess hands-on technical experience in at least two of the areas: o Web application client-side development (e.g. JavaScript ES5/6, ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, jQuery, HTML5/CSS, AJAX/JSON) o Web application server-side development (e.g. ASP.NET Core, C#, Python) o Web GIS development (e.g. ArcGIS JavaScript APIs, ArcGIS Server REST API, WMS) o Database schema design and geospatial queries (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL) o GIS software configuration and implementation (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS server and/or client software like ArcGIS Pro) o Geospatial data processing and libraries (e.g. Python, ArcPy) o Code version control system (e.g. Git) o Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities o Experience in GIS project management and would be an added advantage
