What the role is
What you will be working on
The role is responsible for conducting workforce planning for ActiveSG to identify the current and future demands of ActiveSG to help achieve targets effectively. It also develops overall ActiveSG strategy on how to engage and recognize staff, boosting employee experience creating opportunities to play and connect, and amplifying an ActiveSG culture through core values. This role also Identifies long-term goals for ActiveSG and develops mid-term strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities :
• Understand the trends and risks in the labour market demographic and implications on long term manpower sustainability.
• Understand the key mission goals and future objectives set by leadership and how the workforce needs to be aligned to achieve them.
• Understand ActiveSG’s current and future workforce requirements and gaps between workforce demand and supply.
• Define top priority gaps with the greatest impact on performance and develop appropriate workforce interventions (e.g. outsourcing) to close the gap and enable ActiveSG to meet its strategic goals.
• Develop and implement change management strategies to help staff adapt to changes in manpower policies and/ or staff movements.
• Identify long-term goals for ActiveSG aligned with corporate objectives.
• Develop ActiveSG’s mid-term strategies (up to five (5) years) working with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives to ensure ActiveSG stays on track to achieve its long-term goals and identify areas of improvement where adjustment is necessary.
• Conduct research on industry trends and market opportunities to inform decision-making.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams and divisions to develop, align and track ActiveSG workplan.
• Develop and oversee implementation of ActiveSG employee engagement strategy to build a sense of belonging in ActiveSG, and for effective two (2) way communication with employees.
• Establish and implement ActiveSG recognition framework to build a culture of appreciation that boosts employee morale and productivity and identify a pipeline of leaders for succession planning.
What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community.
This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.
In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:
• A recognised Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 10 years of experience in multi-functional experience in a medium to large organisation.
• Good analytical skills that allow for interpretation of manpower, human resources and related management information.
• Experience in dealing with both private and public sector at management level
• Ability to work and respond positively in a complex and ambiguous environment
• Ability to exercise good judgement and decision making
• Possess good inter-personal and communication skills
The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
