What the role is

You will be part of the Human Capital Directorate under the People & Organisation Group which focuses on developing people and organisational capabilities. As strategic partners to our Directorates and AGD officers, we aim to build a performance driven workforce that is future ready and agile. We work closely with senior management to nurture an engaged workforce that is motivated and passionate with One Public Service mindset to transform the public sector through finance.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities: As a Business Partner (BP), you will be part of a team to engage AGD officers on their career development and deployment. You will build relationship with various public agencies and develop a good understanding of their business and talent needs. You will be involved in the following: • Work closely with senior management and partner agencies to address their human capital needs and support their succession plans • Partner stakeholders to coordinate strategic workforce planning and support their transformation efforts • Develop and implement talent management strategies, which includes succession planning, structured deployment and competencies-based development • Ensure effective delivery of HR services to officers deployed at various agencies • Support officers through employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding • Harness HR technologies to generate insights based on data analysis, transform operations and work processes

What we are looking for

Requirements: (a) Functional/Technical Competencies: • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration, or related disciplines • At least 3 years’ relevant experience and knowledge in human capital management or strategic partnership • Prior HR experience in the public sector and familiarity with Civil Service policies and guidelines will be an advantage • Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply (b) Generic Competencies: • Innovative individual who will think out of the box to find solutions for existing and anticipated problems • A proactive attitude, results oriented and display strong multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlines • Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively and build trust in order to influence, facilitate and resolve conflicts • Ability to proactively identify and manage the impact of changing workforce requirements; and align HR strategies and policies to develop workforce capacity and capability • Strong analytical, written, communication and inter-personal skills
