[What the role is]
The Local Production Planning & Development Department (Local Production Planning Section) drives and coordinates the implementation of the local production strategy across SFA, including understanding industry cost structures and economics modelling, and developing policies and initiatives to support implementation. The team also attracts best-in-class agri-food players to set up in Singapore to achieve local production goals, as well as monitors the implementation of plans to achieve Local Production targets.[What you will be working on]
Duties
We are looking for a dynamic team player who cares deeply about Singapore’s food security, is able to think deeply and strategically to drive local food production, and can effectively communicate these strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for driving key workstreams under the overall implementation of our local production strategy, which includes coordinating key updates, formulating and tracking implementation plans, and strategising new initiatives/programmes for local production. This includes conducting landscape studies on best-in-class agri-food players and developing marketing materials and engagement plans.
You will need to engage and work across SFA divisions and external stakeholders to gather feedback and inputs, in order to identify and convey industry needs, formulate forward-thinking implementation plans, apply an analytical mindset to assess trade-offs and problem-solve, and communicate these plans to achieve our local production strategy. You will also need to identify and engage best-in-class agri-food players to establish operations or partnerships in Singapore.
Qualifications
· Experience in industry development, policy and strategy formulation, or economics/business modelling will be an advantage.
· Preferably at least 3 years’ work experience. Designation will be commensurate with relevant working experience.
