What the role is

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic senior-level team leader to join our Cybersecurity Engineering Centre. This role demands strong management skills and expertise in cybersecurity, a passion for disruptive and emerging technologies, and a drive to stay at the cutting edge of the latest trends. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Director in overseeing the operations of the Engineering Centre, focusing on managing cross-functional teams, formulating strategies and policies, providing expert insights on cybersecurity implications and driving the mission by engineering secure technology adoption through evaluating and de-risking disruptive and emerging and existing technologies.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals including Lead & Senior Consultants, ensuring effective team collaboration and performance. • Lead the team in developing and implementing technical policies, standards, and advisories for the safe adoption of disruptive and emerging technologies. • Oversee horizon scans and deep dives on disruptive and emerging technologies such as Quantum, AI, Mobile Security, IoT security, OT security, Smart Vehicles, Internet Security etc. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams to address complex cybersecurity challenges, identifying key threats, conducting risk analysis, and formulating mitigation strategies. • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership, delivering expert insights on cybersecurity implications of disruptive and emerging technologies and their strategic impact on national digital infrastructure. • Provide strategic recommendations to de-risk technology adoption for Government Agencies, Critical Information Infrastructure Owners, and Enterprises. • Collaborate with whole-of-government teams, industry, and research partners to develop comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. • Represent CSA and Singapore in national and international platforms such as standards committees, conferences, bilateral dialogues, multilateral forums, and collaborative research initiatives. Engage with international partners for knowledge exchange and thought leadership in these technical domains to foster global collaboration. • Drive the continuous improvement of the processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of Engineering Centre. • Ensure the team stays updated with the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies, global cybersecurity trends, research, and regulatory developments to ensure the Engineering Centre remains at the forefront of cybersecurity practices.

What we are looking for

Requirements • Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on management roles, and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Good understanding of disruptive and emerging technologies. • In-depth knowledge in at least one of the disruptive/emerging technologies mentioned. • Extensive experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and standards. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. • Proven track record in leading and managing diverse teams. • Driven and capable of working independently and as part of a leadership team. • Experience working in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams. • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
