We are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to serve as the primary subject matter expert on Quantum-Safe Security for our agency. The successful candidate will be part of the team developing and executing the national quantum-safe migration strategy, including identifying the capabilities and infrastructure required to support the quantum-safe transition. The Lead Consultant will collaborate with other government agencies and industry partners to develop coordinated approaches for quantum-safe migration, while staying at the forefront of global quantum-safe security trends and regulatory developments. This role requires a deep understanding of classical and quantum-safe cryptography.

What you will be working on
Responsibilities
• Lead the team in conducting thorough security assessments of cryptographic systems and infrastructures, identifying vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors related to quantum computing threats, establishing methodologies for assessing the quantum-related risks, and developing tools to support quantum-safe migration.
• Lead the team in developing technical policies, guidelines and advisories on safeguarding systems from quantum-related risks as well as safe adoption of quantum-safe technologies for Government Agencies, Critical Information Infrastructure Owners, and Enterprises.
• Foster collaboration with other government agencies and industry partners through developing and implementing coordinated approaches to drive quantum-safe transition.
• Provide expert advice to senior management and stakeholders on quantum-related risks, quantum-safe mitigation strategies, delivering technical insights on cybersecurity implications of quantum-safe technologies and their strategic impact on national digital infrastructure.
• Represent the agency in national and international platforms such as standards committees, conferences, and collaborative research initiatives, engaging local and international partners for knowledge exchange and thought leadership in quantum-safe security domains to foster collaboration.
What we are looking for
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on cryptographically related work.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, cryptographic protocols, key management & Public Key Infrastructure.
• Good understanding of software development, system architecture and network architecture.
• Familiarity with relevant quantum-safe security guidelines and standard.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record in leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Experience working in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP) and knowledge in security testing and assurance methodologies are a plus.
