What the role is
What you will be working on
• Execute key activities contributing to the development of strategic initiatives and projects in the area of Solids Treatment.
• Ensure day-to-day progress aligns with timely delivery of Solids Treatment projects within budget and cost allocation.
• Assist Principal Specialist (Solids Treatment) to collaborate with individual plants to adopt technologies in the short-term (e.g. test beddings, pilot of technologies, etc.)
• Prepare data and research and aid Principal Specialist (Solids Treatment) in providing inputs to pilot/demo plant designs and specifications according to market practice to ensure feasibility, and oversee the trial of various new technologies.
• Assist Principal Specialist (Solids Treatment) to define requirements and specifications from the process standpoint for equipment.
• Assist Principal Specialist (Solids Treatment) and to be involved in investigating complex operational/ systemic issues escalated by Operations teams or identify issues based on analysis of key operational data (e.g. changes in water quality metrics)
• Lead applied research projects and propose new solutions/ process improvements to resolve abnormalities identified and track progress.
• Prepare business case for projects and detailed work plans with Principal Specialist (Solids Treatment).
• Execute project according to project plans and be involved with day-to-day ground work.
• Manage centralized remote data analysis platform of WRPs (Qlik Sense).
• Adhere to training road map and conduct knowledge sharing sessions for relevant PUB staff to develop capabilities in the area of Solids Treatment.
What we are looking for
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in used water treatment
• Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental/Chemical) or relevant Science degree
• Strong communication skills
• Deep technical know-how in the area of Solids Treatment
• Strong analytical thinking
• Data analysis and Statistics
