What the role is
What you will be working on
We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient individual to join our Warrant Investigation Team as a Warrant Admin Officer (Prisons). You will report to the OC WIT and be responsible for:
• Processing OTBU applications for incarcerated defendants
• Liaising with agencies such as CNB, Land Division IOs, State Courts, and CID on warrant-related matters
• Managing and reviewing appeals from inmates
• Preparing minutes and documents for OTBU cases
• Assisting Prison officers with screening lists for Home-Based Programmes
• Handling counter enquiries and processing appeals from walk-in defendants
• Making recommendations on compounding offences without court involvement
What we are looking for
Background with experience in law enforcement or legal administration are preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Outlook, and various police systems (TIMS, CRIMES3, ELITES, CROSS)
• In-depth knowledge of OTBU application criteria and alternative arrangements
• Familiarity with the Integrated Criminal Case Filing and Management System (ICMS)
• Strong communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Keen eye for detail and analytical skills to detect anomalies or unusual circumstances
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills
• Versatility and creativity in problem-solving
• Thorough understanding of Police General Orders, Standard Operation Procedures, and Government Instruction Manuals
