What the role is
The Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation provides veterinary care and rehabilitation for wild animals in Singapore and builds NParks’ expertise in the rescue, treatment and release of wildlife. It also enhances NParks’ biosurveillance and wildlife population research capabilities, and is key to our science- and community-based approach to wildlife management and conservation.
What you will be working on
- Drive core operations essential to the centre’s daily operations, including procurement, contract management, data management and project logistics.
- Manage and oversee administrative work, procurement and contracts for essential services, including veterinary supplies and specialised equipment.
- Optimise centre’s performance through effective procurement, contract management, data systems and resource planning.
- Administer and review the compliance of centre operating procedures, including workplace health and safety, biosecurity/biosafety regulations, controlled drugs use and radiation safety.
- Support centre operations including budget planning and control, resource management and allocation, data and software management.
- Coordinate centre engagements and maintain networks with relevant parties including wildlife stakeholders and industry, partner organizations and the public.
- Oversee research, development and ops tech projects for wildlife health and population management, including data collection and analysis.
What we are looking for
- Minimum two years’ experience with government procurement processes including tender and contract management.
- Relevant working experience in the management of veterinary clinic, wildlife and/or animal-care centres preferred.
- Strong management and organizational skills, self-motivated and meticulous.
- Able to work effectively with others in a team and independently.
- Possess good writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
