Full Stack Software Engineer, Singapore Global Network (1+1 year contract)
What the role is

What you will be working on
As a member of SGN's digital products team, you will develop, deliver and maintain a tech stack that enables SGN's work in fostering connections between our network and our partner SinGov agencies.
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is comfortable with developing integrations between various SaaS platforms and internal systems using AWS. This role bridges software engineering and DevOps, focusing heavily on building robust systems end-to-end—from front-end interfaces to backend APIs, infrastructure automation, and maintaining deployment pipelines. It's ideal for someone who enjoys both development and operational aspects of modern software delivery.
Design and develop modern, responsive web applications
Develop and maintain integrations between various SaaS platforms and internal systems using AWS services
Build scalable backend services and APIs using AWS microservices architecture (RDS, Step Functions, Athena)
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for automated testing, security scanning, and deployment across multiple environments
Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles, primarily with Terraform, ensuring consistent and reproducible deployments
Configure and maintain security and compliance standards through AWS services (Cognito, AWS WAF, Secrets Manager) and external security tools
Conduct regular code reviews and infrastructure audits, including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks
Implement and enforce IAM policies following least-privilege principles across all systems
What we are looking for
Requirements
Resourcefulness, integrity, drive, and strong collaboration skills are essential. We're looking for candidates with:
1-5 years of software development experience, with demonstrated ability to work independently on moderately complex features
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular) and one backend language (Python, Node.js, Java, etc.)
Experience with API development and third-party SaaS integrations
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD platforms
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform
Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture patterns
Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and SaaS integration patterns
Singaporean or PR
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Associate
Experience with security audits and compliance in cloud environments
Previous work with CRM systems like Salesforce or similar enterprise SaaS platforms
Exposure to data engineering and analytics pipelines
Experience with webhook implementations and event-driven architectures
