What the role is

The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) is Singapore’s national authority on the weather and climate. The Business and Strategy Planning Department (BSPD) provides strategic planning and corporate support for MSS including customer relationship management and contract management.
You will be part of the Resource & Contract Management team in BSPD, working in close partnership with other divisions within MSS and the National Environment Agency to provide contract management and administrative support. You will be responsible for the following:

What you will be working on

The job scope will include but not limited to the following:

  • Manage the administration of service contracts with key customers (e.g. government agencies and private enterprises) and cost-recovery arrangements.  This includes liaising with customers on service requirements, reviewing of costs, processing of invoices for billing and managing of MSS’ finance related matters.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)  and processes to track availability, allocation, and utilisation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for resource requests and queries from various departments within the organisation
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external) to understand resource requirements and ensure appropriate allocation
  • Generate regular reports on resource utilisation and performance metrics
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Any other ad hoc projects and duties assigned.

What we are looking for

The job might be for you if you possess the following:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Highly self-motivated, responsible, and resourceful
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with resource forecasting will be an advantage
