The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure, with a mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. The Police Intelligence Department (PID) supports the SPF’s mission by providing useful intelligence. Besides taking charge of intelligence operations in the SPF, PID is also responsible for intelligence processing and analysis functions, including the enrichment of crime data and information, compilation and dissemination of national crime statistics, assessment of crime concerns and identification of trends that impact crime, public order and security in Singapore.
You will play a critical role in ensuring PID’s continued success by engaging in a range of work, which may include strategic planning, resource planning and management, organisation development, employee engagement, stakeholder engagement, and capability development for the intelligence function.
You will be placed on the Management Executive Scheme in the PID.

What the role is
What you will be working on
The jobholder will be expected to work on a range of tasks which may include:
• Conducting horizon scanning and formulating strategies and policies to strengthen the PID’s ability to support future requirements of the SPF amidst an evolving and fast-changing operating landscape
• Planning and prioritizing resources in alignment with the PID’s strategic objectives
• Ensuring effective and efficient management of intelligence development projects
• Coordinating and managing requests for information from external units
• Coordinating and preparing for visits by stakeholders
• Driving internal communications and staff engagement initiatives
• Undertaking meeting secretariat duties to ensure meetings run smoothly and pertinent issues are being tracked for resolution
What we are looking for
• Background in any discipline
• Highly proficient in written and spoken English for the purpose of drafting concept/budget papers and delivering presentations
• Literacy in basic IT and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills as the job holder will be required to coordinate across different functional teams and stakeholders
• Able to exercise systems thinking and analytical reasoning
• Possess strong planning and management skills, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Creativity and the ability to thrive amidst ambiguity will be an asset in the role
• A good team player
