What the role is
The Engineering Office will critically review current processes, systems and equipment at WMFs and the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) plants, and recommend areas for enhancements/ improvements. This will involve detailed technical analysis and deep dives into engineering designs and process flows to enhance oversight and improve scrutiny of the operations and maintenance of PPP waste-to-energy plants.
What you will be working on
You will work in the Engineering Office in partnership with the line Departments overseeing NEA’s WMFs and contracts with the PPP waste-to-energy plants to:
Scrutinise / technically assess efficiency/adequacy of proposed maintenance schedules, from NEA’s and PPP plants, etc.
Provide technical assessment of unplanned shutdowns, maintenance schedules; engineering analysis and evaluation of systems/equipment failure and outages,
Investigate and critique claims or requests by PPP plants for waivers, extension of time, delays in repairs or replacement work, procurement timelines etc.
Conduct onsite verification of technical failures/repairs such as boiler tube leaks and equipment failure at PPP plants, benchmarking (with NEA’s WMFs) of shutdown or repair periods/ methodology, etc.

Good experience (3-5 years preferred) in the design, or operations & maintenance of WTE plants / process plants
Enjoy trouble-shooting and analytical work
