What the role is

What you will be working on
As part of the CWRPO team, the programme manager will work on the following areas:
- Facilitate the achievement of CWRPO-based research programme outcomes.
- Work with public research performers to manage the administration of relevant projects, including project plans and schedules, funding initiative reports, progress reports, audit reports, budgeting, and finance reports.
- Conduct regular engagement of stakeholders to communicate research requirements and facilitate the translation of scientific research; and inform policymaking decisions.
- Perform horizon scans on the latest weather and climate science research areas and assist in the formulation of RIE2030 research strategy and strategic initiatives to address knowledge gaps in the research landscape.
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
- Academic degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. physics, geography, environmental studies, or related disciplines)
- Familiarity in grants management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting
- Interest in the field of weather and climate science research
- Good team player and ability to work with various stakeholders including public research performers, subject matter experts, and public agencies
- Ability to multi-task and meticulous with details
- Ability to work independently and to tight timelines as/when required
