What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be required to lead a small team of two officers in planning and producing engaging and creative content, including both digital content and marketing communications campaigns, to support MDDI’s communication efforts and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and supervise a small team of online and marketing communications officers
• Conceptualise and create content for the social media channels of MDDI and MDDI political officer holders to raise awareness of MDDI’s priorities and reinforce MDDI’s key messages
• Develop overall strategies and content grids for MDDI and MDDI political office holders’ socials
• Develop social media plans to publicise MDDI events and announcements
• Analyse online sentiments on MDDI announcements and issues
• Develop and implement digital and marketing communications campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness
• Liaise and work with vendors to develop communications products, such as marketing materials and digital content
• Create and edit photographs, videos and infographics to communicate MDDI’s policies, programmes and issues
What we are looking for
• At least 6 - 8 years of work experience in developing and implementing effective digital and marketing communications strategies, preferably with experience managing a team
• Strong interest in current affairs and keen sense of creativity
• Social media savvy, with in-depth understanding of the latest social media trends
• Ability to create and differentiate social media content to appeal to different target audience segments
• Proficiency in photo and video editing software and applications (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, InShot)
• Proficiency in graphic design software and applications (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)
• Ability to take photographs and film videos for use in social media posts, if required
• Good writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain policies and technical topics in a clear and simple way for the general public
• Self-starter and good team player, with proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
