What the role is
The School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design (STA) provides vocational training in using next-generation technology to enhance and deliver creative expressions in disciplines such as arts and entertainment production management, user experience design, game and gamification design, digital content creation, visual communications, and audio production. The School is looking to add a dynamic individual to our collaborative team who is experienced in academic administration for an educational environment.
What you will be working on
You will:
Coordinate the operations of new / existing diploma programmes
Coordinate school admissions activities, including the coordination of interviews for applicants
Coordinate timetabling / scheduling of classes, as well as rostering lecturers
Coordinate SharePoint sites for school academic processes and academic information collation (including articulation agreements)
Coordinate student matters such as leave of absence, scholarship and bursary applications
Manage the administration required for student overseas internship or school overseas trips, including collating pre- and post-trip submission documents required for grant, visa, and insurance applications
Tracking and reporting students’ achievements / activities
Organise Board of Examiner meetings
Organise and manage events at institutional level and/or school level
Work closely with counterparts across the institution on various portfolios and projects
Take on other programme support assignments as required by the School Management Team
What we are looking for
Proven track record with at least three years of relevant working experience in academic administration services in an educational institution
Proficient in Microsoft Office (data analysis in Excel, Powerpoint, Word), SharePoint administration
Experience with end-to-end procurement operations such as SVP/ITQ/RFQ/DC/ITT (Small Value Purchases/Invitation To Quote /Request For Quote/Direct Contracting/Invitation To Tender) transactions, based on government procurement guidelines
Clear oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large and small groups, liaise with a range of stakeholders, and a sensitivity to the needs of people of diverse academic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds
A self-starter, agile learner, with a personal interest in organisational excellence, quality assurance, automation of work processes, and managing stakeholder expectations
