What the role is
To develop and implement strategies that support officers in their career transitions, ensuring a caring and dignified approach to managing outflows while building organisational capability in this area.
What you will be working on
Key Responsibilities:
1. Career Transition Support:
- Provide employment facilitation support for retiring officers such as sourcing, matching and and facilitating liaisons between officers and agencies which are keen
- Provide one-on-one coaching/ guidance to officers navigating career changes
- Explore and organise workshops and seminars on topics such as CV writing, personal branding to prepare officers for their second career journey
2. Policy Review and Development:
- Regularly review existing career transition policies and recommend improvements
- Develop new policies to address emerging needs and best practices in career transition management
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including potential employers and career development organisations eg Workforce Sg
- Collaborate with internal government agencies/ MHA/ within CNB for potential employment opportunities for retiring officers.
- Act as a liaison between retiring officers and potential employers on job facilitation
4. Capability Building:
- Train line managers on effective career transition management techniques
- Develop resources and toolkits to support managers in having career transition conversations
5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track key metrics related to career transitions, including officer successful placements, participation in CT programmes
- Prepare reports/presentation on the effectiveness of career transition initiatives and recommend improvements to senior management group
What we are looking for
Attributes
- Experience in Human Resources or career counselling field would be added advantage
- Understanding of career development theories and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
- Professional certification in career coaching or counselling would be an added advantage
- Experience in public sector HR management would be an added advantage
