The NS Policy and Recognition (NSPR) branch under the National Service Directorate is responsible for the development and review of policies that enable the Home Team to deploy and utilise National Service resources better, as well as recognise the contributions of Home Team National Servicemen. The job holder will be tasked to (a) drive and coordinate the implementation of the new Medical Classification System (MCS) for National Servicemen, (b) drive and coordinate the NSD 2030 plan, as well as assuming direct responsibility for specific action plans, and (c) undertake other policy reviews which may be assigned.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Track the progress of work to implement the MCS.
• The NSD2030 plan is NSD’s 5 year plan to transform our capabilities in optimising NS resources, engaging NSmen, and deliver services to NSmen in a more technologically driven and resource efficient way. The officer will work with other NSD units to track the development and implementation of the various NSD2030 plans. This includes working with other NSD units and HTDs to review the plans and identifying new areas to address (in addition to the initial slate of plans).
• In addition, the job holder will also be directly responsible for developing and implementing plans, such as developing a data strategy for NSD.
• Lead or support other policy reviews and initiatives undertaken by the branch.
