The Executive, PHC is responsible in ensuring the smooth operations of the centre which is managed by the Heritage and Social Responsibility Branch (HSB) of the Public Affairs Department (PAD). As Executive, your role includes overseeing the maintenance of the centre, management of tour guides and arrangement of tours to PHC, and ensuring that visitors enjoy a good gallery experience. In addition, you will conduct PHC tours to a wide spectrum of visitors as part of enhancing the SPF brand and image. You will also be included in projects championed by the unit, when required.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will oversee the operations of the PHC and ensure that guides who are outsourced to provide tour services, uphold high service quality standards. As part of the management, you will be responsible for maintaining 2 KPIs pertaining to visitors’ tour experience. You will also manage contracts pertaining to the operations of the PHC by tracking the budget and reporting the expenditure on a regular basis to senior management. When needed, customer’s feedback should be addressed professionally and expeditiously. You will also support operations by taking tours comprising visitors from all walks of life including senior-ranking officers, recruits, students, families and young children.
As part of education and outreach, you will organise two events a year that reach out to children and their families.
You will play a supervisory role to one National Service officer.
What we are looking for
Background in a hospitality or tourism-related discipline
• Proficient in English and at least one other vernacular language.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant work experience in events management, project management or hospitality.
• Develop detailed event timelines, budgets, and logistics plans ensuring all elements are aligned with SPF’s branding objectives.
• Conceptualise ideas for PHC outreach events, arrange for staff and helpers to enhance the event, providing clear instructions and support as needed.
• Work cross-functionally with teams within PAD and SPF to make PHC events a success.
• Oversee contracts, ensure compliance with agreements, and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Collect feedback, analyse visitorship trends, and generate reports to measure ROI and identify areas for improvement.
• Have a flair for public presentation and public speaking.

• Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving attributes and a service mindset; able to work effectively with various stakeholders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
