The Energy Capabilities Development Department of the Energy Market Authority advances the Singapore Energy Transition through developing a flexible and responsive energy system, and planning for the future energy workforce to support this.
We are looking for a Analyst for the Systems Capabilities Branch. The role develops strategies and policies to drive the development of future grid capabilities to advance the Singapore Energy Transition.
You will be part of a team:
- Leading the development of strategies, policies, and ops-tech roadmaps for the development of future grid capabilities;
- Conducting data-driven analyses to (a) evaluate the techno-economic feasibility and potential of future grid technologies to impact the Singapore;
- Energy Transition, and (b) develop policies and strategies to facilitate the development and deployment of promising future grid technologies in Singapore;
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and management of future grid R&D and technical testbeds and pilots, to ensure that they deliver impactful outcomes; and
- Handling grant administration and manage R&D projects with industry and stakeholders.
We are looking for candidates:
- With strong analytical skills, and the ability to deep-dive into the relevant subject areas, and dissect issues and develop coherent solutions;
- Who are excited about learning new things, comfortable with navigating ambiguity and changes, and not afraid to challenge the status quo to put forth new solutions;

- Who is a team player and can collaborate effectively across stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
Candidates with prior experience in policy development, knowledge of the electricity market, and experience in the electricity grid and the energy sector will have an advantage.
