What the role is

The Strategic Partnerships & Engagement department is responsible for engaging, developing, and exploring new opportunities with stakeholders from the public, private and people sectors.

As a Manager/ Senior Manager of the Partnerships team, you will advocate, build, maintain and track strategic relationships with different stakeholders within and beyond the arts and culture sector, as well as forge new relationships and drive new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to co-create impact to benefit the arts sector.

In this role, you will be responsible to build and develop initiatives with key partners to deliver strategic outcomes that will benefit the sector. To perform your role effectively, you will need to work closely and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be required to provide support to the rest of the department for partnership and engagement initiatives as part of your work.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Plan, develop, implement and project-manage partnership initiatives in collaboration with partners to achieve intended outcomes. This includes effectively managing project timelines to ensure timely deliverables.

  • Lead, organise and drive project discussions and working-group conversations.

  • Manage senior management updates, project briefs and relevant engagements with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate and communicate with internal NAC departments from both Arts Ecosystems Group and Innovation & Corporate Planning Group to deliver the intended outcomes of partnership initiatives.

  • Work with the Planning & Policy teams to ensure alignment with NAC KPIs, benchmarks and measurements relevant to partnership initiatives.

  • Provide guidance, leadership, project orientation and support to new team members brought onboard to support partnership initiatives.

  • Build and develop strong rapport and long-term relationships with partners.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in business management, arts management, events management or related fields

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in project management, partnership management and/or events management

  • Articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, with the capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Entrepreneurial, open-minded, persistent and collaborative mindset
