The Strategy, Transformation and Organisation Development department (STOD) is responsible for driving and coordinating AGC’s efforts to be the ‘best law firm in Singapore’. Working closely with Senior management, our aim is to deliver useful insights and facilitate strategic discussions on how AGC can deliver higher value to its clients and stakeholders, manage change well, and ensure that the work of our lawyers and executives are future-proofed. The team’s current expertise is wide-ranging, from planning, futures, process improvements and organisation development. What the role is
What you will be working on
Responsibilities
• Design and facilitate meaningful discussions on AGC-wide and Division-level priority areas, draw insights and plan next steps in partnership with internal stakeholders. Track the progress of implementation plans and co-design interventions to close gaps. Identify new opportunities for collaboration across the various AGC units, and help stakeholders connect the dots to streamline efforts or deliver new value.
• Identify trends and emerging issues that may impact AGC clients’ needs, and recommend new or enhanced approaches to improving clients’ experience with AGC. This includes horizon scanning, sensemaking of client feedback via various channels, and benchmarking our practices with top legal organisations.
• Build a compelling transformation narrative to inspire officers to continue improving the way we work and develop ourselves. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute change management and communications plans for major initiatives, to enable smoother roll-outs and more sustained behaviour change. Showcase projects and officers that have made a difference, at suitable platforms.
• Support any other function in AGC’s journey towards becoming the ‘best law firm’. This includes periodic reviews of AGC’s strategies or programmes, special projects requested by Senior Management, and advising AGC committees in promoting futures thinking and innovation.
We are looking to develop promising officers with a broad set of strategy, transformation and OD skills. The complexity level of the work will be commensurate with candidates’ experience levels.

• Qualifications in Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant work experience, with practical exposure to strategic planning, transformation or organisation development work.
• Comfortable with new and ambiguous situations. Able to seek clarity and adapt as internal stakeholders’ needs change, while still being purposeful in achieving strategic objectives.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities. Able to oversee multiple projects and take on a leadership role within formal and informal teams.
• Ability to write and present clearly, and communicate confidently with lawyers and senior management.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Able to network and work across boundaries to foster greater collaboration across the central and legal divisions.
• Highly self-motivated, resilient and comfortable with a fair degree of organisational change.
