We are looking for an outstanding intern to join the Government Data Division (GDD) in developing the capabilities to drive better use of data in the Public Service, through engagements, training and research. As we look towards the next bound of Digital Government, it is more important than ever to uplift our abilities to use data to create solutions that benefit citizens and businesses. From working with senior leaders such as Permanent Secretaries on how to transform their organisations to be more data-driven, to developing and implementing initiatives to build up the Government data community, you will have tremendous opportunity to make an out-sized impact to Singapore and Singaporeans through harnessing the use of data to enable more informed policymaking, improved agency operations, and better service delivery.

Project Objectives: 1. Implementing leadership trainings: • Design and facilitate high-impact data literacy workshops tailored for senior public service leaders, incorporating case studies and practical applications; • Develop training materials and curricula that bridge technical concepts with strategic leadership perspectives; • Coordinate training logistics, including events coordination, workshop facilitation, and participant engagement. 2. Support data competency building efforts: • Research and develop practical case studies that illustrate effective data governance and management practices within the Singapore Government context; • Transform complex data initiatives and projects into clear, instructive learning materials that can be used for leadership trainings and agency engagements; • Design scenario-based learning materials that help senior leaders apply data concepts to their daily work contexts.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) drives Singapore’s digital development in four key domains — the economy, government, security, and society. MDDI oversees the development of the infocomm technology, cybersecurity, and media sectors; the Government’s digitalisation initiatives; and the national library, national archives, and public libraries. The Ministry is also responsible for effective public communications, and the Government’s information and public communication policies.
