What the role is

You will play a key role in safeguarding patient safety and public interest through robust inspection, and investigation of licensed healthcare institutions and services. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

You will lead and supervise a team of inspection officers for the licensing, inspection and audit of healthcare services regulated under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA) for compliance with prescribed regulatory standards. You will also lead in the review/implementation of regulatory frameworks and, licensing policies to ensure responsive, efficient and effectiveness regulatory controls and supervision of healthcare services to safeguard patient safety and public interest.

What we are looking for

What are we looking for? • A background in science or health-related fields is preferred (e.g., Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Nursing or Pharmacy) • Minimum of 8 years' experience in healthcare settings (such as hospitals, laboratories, or clinics) or data governance, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role • Previous experience in conducting inspections and audits is advantageous • Possesses strong leadership and management capabilities • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills • Strong commitment to integrity and impartial enforcement of rules and regulations • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, challenging environment • Capability to lead and develop a diverse team of officers Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge, and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
