Join the DSAD team to grow SSG into a data-mature organization where we use data pervasively and securely to deliver on our business missions. • Develop and drive SSG’s data strategy, including LOIs, data competency, and maintaining strong links with CIO Office • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive data governance and management framework that complies with WOG requirements Implement Lines of Inquiries • Support data management and exploitation • Develop MLOps and instil best practices

What you will be working on

The Manager of Data Empowerment within the Data Strategy & Analytics Division (DSAD) is responsible for ensuring data integrity and accessibility through effective data cleaning, transformation, migration, and process improvement. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of current data and insights, enhancing decision-making capabilities for both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong problem-solving mindset. Data Cleaning and Transformation: • Assist in cleaning and processing local data in Excel or other formats, transforming it into a machine-readable format suitable for ingestion into the Data Analytics Environment (DAE) • Understand business logic to determine optimal fields for data transformation • Demonstrate proficiency in Power Query scripting and SQL to facilitate data transformation processes Data Migration and Automation: • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ingest cleaned data into the DAE and establish automated data pipelines • Conduct thorough testing of migrated data to ensure data integrity and accuracy • Support the delivery of the most current data and insights to enhance analysis and decision-making capabilities • Familiarity with AWS environments, especially Redshift, is preferred for enhancing data management processes Process Improvement and Efficiency: • Explore opportunities to streamline manual data submission processes through scripting, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce human errors • Work towards implementing best practices for data management that contribute to overall operational effectiveness Collaboration and Communication: • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks • Basic understanding of data governance principles and a commitment to ensuring data quality Problem-Solving and Innovation: • A problem-solving mindset with a desire to tackle data challenges creatively • Engage in continuous learning and improvement to address data-related challenges

What we are looking for

• Possess the required competencies to execute the job duties proficiently • Proficient in Power Query scripting and SQL • Familiarity with AWS environments, particularly Redshift, is preferred • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team • Basic understanding of data governance principles and commitment to data quality. About SkillsFuture Singapore

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education (MOE). It will drive and coordinate the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, and strengthen the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore. SSG will strengthen the adult training infrastructure by taking on all existing functions of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and guide the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of adult educators. SSG will play a key role in the quality assurance for private education institutions and adult training centres. Together with educational institutions and training partners, SSG will ensure that students and working adults have access to high quality, industry-relevant training throughout life. SSG will also bring together synergies in continuing education and training (CET) and pre-employment training (PET), so skills requirements will continue to meet the demands of different sectors of the economy.
