What the role is

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Owner to lead the transformation of MyCareersFuture portal's into a comprehensive career portal. In this role, you will transform MyCareersFuture into a comprehensive career portal that enhances how individuals navigate their career journeys. Your product-related decisions will directly impact Singaporeans' career development opportunities while meeting government policy and strategic requirements.

What you will be working on

Key Skills and Competencies:

1. Strategic Product Leadership  

  • Drive product vision through data-informed roadmaps, balancing quick wins with long-term objectives

  • Track and achieve product success through OKRs and meaningful metrics

  • Apply global digital trends and career platform best practices to shape product direction

  • Transform complex business needs into achievable product milestones

  • Demonstrated ability in feature prioritisation and roadmap planning using data-driven decision making

  • Strong understanding of product metrics, success indicators, and OKR tracking methodologies

2. Agile Delivery Excellence

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and ceremonies, guiding teams through backlog management and sprint planning effectively

  • Experience in facilitating and working directly with cross functional and development teams

  • Foster collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams

3. User Centred Design Impact

  • Experience in collaborating with UX designers to create intuitive experiences

  • Apply behavioural science and nudge principles to enhance user engagements

  • Synthesise user research into product decisions into practical feature improvements

  • Design and implement effective user-engagement strategies

4. Data-driven Decision Making and Product Analytics

  • Leverage analytics tools (e.g. GA4) to measure and optimise product performance

  • Design, create and monitor key product metrics and conversion funnels

  • Experience in A/B testing and experimentation to validate product decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to support product prioritisation and resource allocation decisions

5. Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Proven ability to manage relationships across multiple stakeholders including internal organisational teams, government agencies, and external partners

  • Resolve complex user escalations through Level 2 support resolution

  • Strong capability in investigating and resolving sensitive complaints

  • Skilled in developing standard operating procedures for issues handling and escalation management

  • Demonstrated ability to use customer feedback and complaints to drive product improvements

  • Manage crisis communications and time-sensitive escalations with care

  • Ability to ensure product alignment with government policy requirements with optimal user experience

What we are looking for

Responsibilities:

Individuals who excel in the following areas would be preferred:

  • Translating complex user needs and government requirements into clear product strategies, having demonstrated this through successful digital product launches

  • Leading agile teams through product development cycles, prioritising features and managing backlogs effectively

  • Analysing user behaviour data and feedback to make evidence-based product decisions that drive engagement

  • Collaborating with stakeholders across government agencies to align product direction with policy requirements

  • Breaking down large-scale transformation initiatives into achievable sprint goals and deliverables

Your experience should include:

  • Developing product roadmaps that balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives

  • Creating and refining user stories with clear acceptance criteria

  • Conducting user research and usability testing to validate product decisions

  • Managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, including development teams, business units, and government partners

  • Working with agile methodologies and tools in a digital product environment
