In recent years, global supply chains are increasingly being scrutinised for their ability to withstand shocks. As a small and open economy with limited natural resources, Singapore is import dependent and is also highly susceptible to global disruptions. The Supply Chain and Economic Resilience Division (SCERD) serves as the whole-of-Government supply chain resilience lead and is responsible for ensuring the resilience of Singapore’s critical supply chains and ensuring operational preparedness during national emergency and peacetime crises. SCERD also oversees building and institutionalising resilience and crisis management capabilities in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

In this role, you will: • Develop national and sectoral strategies to secure the resilience of Singapore’s supply chains for essential and critical goods and services; • Analyse and synthesize findings on critical sector supply chains, challenges and needs; • Build the division’s collaboration network with key stakeholders across the Government, industry and academia; • Work with industry partners to design and deliver solutions that can be implemented across different sectors in Singapore to enhance the resilience of their supply chains.

• Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; • Able to work independently as well as in teams, and across multiple workstreams; • Aptitude for policy design, systems and analytical thinking, in order to deal with complex problems and recommend actionable solutions; • Possess a driven and self-starter attitude as well as resourcefulness in solving problems; • Good stakeholder management skills dealing both with internal and external stakeholders; and • Data analysis skills would be advantageous though not required.
