What the role is
What you will be working on
As the Senior Assistant Director, you will lead a team of 10 HR Business Partners to build strong and positive relationship with line divisions for the following areas:
• Business Partnership
o Advise senior leadership within organisation on HR strategies and initiatives required to achieve organisational business priorities and desired outcomes.
• Process Management
o Guide team to develop forward-looking and holistic HR initiatives in support of organisational business priorities, while taking into consideration alignment with Whole of Government HR policies and practices.
o Lead review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and able to guide team members in using prevailing tools, techniques and methodologies to streamline or refine HR processes.
o Collaborate actively with policy, system owners and customers to diagnose and implement process improvements.
• Customer Experience
o Lead the use of design thinking strategies to effectively prototype, pilot and scale solutions across real user experiences and service journeys.
o Lead the development of initiatives and programmes so as to meet employee’s needs and organisation’s goals.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with:
Functional/Technical Competencies
• Qualification in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of working experience in HR; with at least 2 years of experience leading a team
• Relevant knowledge and experience in human capital management or strategic partnership, with good understanding of manpower challenges and ability to articulate the need for using data approaches in creative solutioning
• Prior HR experience in the public sector and familiarity with Civil Service policies and guidelines will be an advantage
