What the role is

What you will be working on

As an HDB Estate Manager in the Rental Housing Policy & Planning Section, you will be part of a team and will be involved, but not limited to the following work areas: - Formulate and review rental housing policies to ensure that they are reasonable, relevant and reach the intended target groups - Ensure adequate and appropriate housing for the intended target groups via planning for development, redevelopment and demand and supply management - Develop strategies to uplift rental housing households to buy homes of their own - Engage directly with a diverse range of customers to understand and meet their housing needs - Work with multiple partners within and beyond Government to resolve complex cases and close gaps

We are looking for a candidate who: - Stays organised and can navigate fluid work conditions - Works well and thinks clearly under pressure of time and workload - Has strong skills in analysis, writing, presentation and negotiation - Works easily with multiple stakeholders to find ways forward amidst diverse views - Has passion for public service, particularly the social sector, to better the lives of Singaporeans This job will place you right in the action of how policies are made and unfold on the ground; it will challenge you to balance across competing needs and the realities of implementation and transformation; and it will place you well to improve how all these impact the citizens we serve.
