The National Research Foundation (NRF) is a department within the Prime Minister's Office, and we set the national direction for research, innovation and enterprise (RIE) by developing policies, plans and strategies; funding strategic initiatives that strengthen our scientific and technological capabilities, grow our RIE talent base, and achieve economic and national impact; and fostering RIE collaboration in Singapore and internationally.

What the role is
What you will be working on
[Key Responsibilities]:
Records Management
• Support Chief Records Officer in discharging Registry duties, including the engagement of directorates for proper and timely filing of official documents in e-Registry system;
• Work with National Archives of Singapore and Attorney-General’s Chambers on official document matters, including the need to appraise, archive and/or dispose records on a timely basis; and
• Advise action officers on and ensure compliance with Instruction Manual on Management of Public Records
Travel Management
• Work with appointed travel agents to facilitate booking of air tickets, accommodation, andother services for official trips;
• Purchase travel insurance from appointed insurance agent; and
• Activate data roaming for relevant users
Procurement Liaison
• Facilitate the evaluation of procurement documents by VITAL, Singapore Public Service’scentral agency; and
• Raise Approval of Requirements (AOR) and purchase orders through the GovernmentElectronic Business System (GeBIZ)
Reception and General Administration
• Greet and manage visitors to NRF;
• Answer general line calls;
• Receive/distribute goods and mail;
• Perform staff on-boarding/exit tasks such as issuance/return of keys & equipment as well as update of telephone directory; and
• Any other duties as assigned

About National Research Foundation
The National Research Foundation (NRF) was set up on 1 January 2006 as a department under the Prime Minister's Office. It was set up to perform the following:
a) To provide secretariat support to the Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council (RIEC), chaired by the Senior Minister;
b) To coordinate the research of different agencies within the larger national framework in order to provide a coherent strategic overview and direction;
c) To develop policies and plans to implement the five strategic thrusts for the national R&D agenda; and
d) To implement national research, innovation and enterprise strategies approved by the RIEC, and to allocate funding to programmes that meet NRF's strategic objectives.
