What the role is
What you will be working on
The temporary officer will be supporting the HR team to drive the employee engagement initiatives and supporting HR operations. Additionally, the temporary officer will assist HR team to plan and execute the staff initiatives.
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value teamwork, to join our dynamic HR team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage administrative processes in HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle (e.g. recruitment, onboarding, movements, deployments, exits). This also includes liaising with Vital on employee record creation and management and claims processing;
• Manage the full internship programme, including coordinating with hiring departments on internship requirements, recruitment and processing internship documentation and administrative matters;
• Plan, coordinate and implement Staff Engagement activities and initiatives;
• Assist the HR team in the planning of staff events (i.e. including planning, logistical arrangement, communications etc).
• Support the knowledge management activities for the team, including proper filing and archiving of documents (including proper organisation of e-Pfiles), and updating of HR systems;
• Review and streamline administrative processes, as well as propose suitable solutions to automate workstreams; and
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

i. Background in HR or working experience in Public Service is preferred;
ii. Proactively plan and think through issues at work, before making the appropriate recommendations;
iii. Able to engage stakeholders from all levels, and possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; and
iv. Flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task
About National Research Foundation
The National Research Foundation (NRF) was set up on 1 January 2006 as a department under the Prime Minister's Office. It was set up to perform the following:
a) To provide secretariat support to the Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council (RIEC), chaired by the Senior Minister;
b) To coordinate the research of different agencies within the larger national framework in order to provide a coherent strategic overview and direction;
c) To develop policies and plans to implement the five strategic thrusts for the national R&D agenda; and
d) To implement national research, innovation and enterprise strategies approved by the RIEC, and to allocate funding to programmes that meet NRF's strategic objectives.
