The Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation (EMI) Division is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of all the plant & equipment (P&E) in the Department to ensure that the P&E are reliable, efficient and operational at all times to: i) pump raw water from reservoirs to waterworks; ii) perform inter-reservoir water transfer to maintain high reservoir stock; iii) protect estuarine water from seawater intrusion with crest gates or tidal gates operations; iv) execute drainage pumping operation to prevent flooding; v) to operate all EMI equipment in ABC facilities.

As an Electrical Engineer with Catchment & Waterways department, your job role will include, but is not limited to the following: 1) Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Electrical Installations comprising 22kV, 6.6kV High Voltage (HV) and 400 Low Voltage (LV) electrical equipment of the raw water pumping installations, drainage pumping stations, tidal gates, and floating Solar Photovoltaics (PV) systems. 2) Plan and execute scheduled Preventive and Predictive Maintenance of electrical assets at raw water pumping stations, drainage pumping stations, tidal gates, and floating solar PV systems. 3) Call, evaluate tenders and administer contracts for: a. Electrical assets maintenance and replacement. b. Upgrading of Electrical Installations involving HV and LV switchboards, transformers, motors, motor starters, generators. c. Floating Solar PV systems deployments. 4) Plan and train technical staff to develop their competency in Electrical Assets Management.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Power Engineering or equivalent. • Candidates with relevant working experience in maintenance of HV and LV Electrical Installations would be advantageous • Training on High Voltage operation and Solar Photovoltaics system, will be provided to the successful candidate.
