Family Life Group (FLG), under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) aims to strengthen and support families through their different life stages, so as to realise the vision of making Singapore the best place for family life through our policies, programmes and publicity efforts. Inter-Generational Support (IGS) under FLG, encourages pre-planning through the Lasting Power of Attorney, protects the dignity and safeguards the interests of vulnerable persons lacking mental capacity (P) through deputyship supervision and supports the reconciliation of families.

You will be joining the Outreach & Engagement team within the Development and Engagement Unit. The main role of the team is to build partnerships and implement the stakeholder and engagement strategies that will promote pre-planning and improve the adoption of the Lasting Power of Attorney, enhance the safeguards of Persons without Mental Capacity and support the reconciliation of families and resolution of family disputes. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following aspects: • Implement the engagement strategy plan and engage stakeholders to promote IGS’ work • Engage external stakeholders to promote pre-planning and IGS’ work • Implement the pilots and initiatives that will increase LPA uptake, including working with other stakeholders, procuring relevant services • Monitor progress of initiatives and analyse data for evaluation • Execute key events by working with multiple stakeholders for logistics and publicity • Manage volunteer-related matters within IGS • Represent IGS at selective events to share about the division’s work as part of public education

• Background in social sciences is advantageous. • Strong communication skills; able to establish good collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Systematic and analytical person who enjoys design thinking and inquiry-based learning. • Experience in running events and implementing pilots • A team player who is willing to commit to new and fast paced albeit fulfilling work.
