What you will be working on

The successful candidate will support the Judges within the Therapeutic Justice Division of the Family Justice Courts. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic work environment. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include: Providing administrative support to Judges and supporting the work of the Division, including but not limited to: • Coordinating and assisting in roster planning for court events, meetings, agenda items/ updates and engagement sessions. • Handling administrative and operational matters as assigned. • Assisting in performing training and internship related administrative duties. • Preparing meeting materials and minutes. Performing the role of court officer which includes the following: • Providing support to Judges and delivering frontline service to court users in court/chamber including fixing of court dates, drafting of court orders, preparation of court records, engagement of relevant language support services and updating of Judge’s calendars. • Extracting relevant court documents to assist Judges in preparation for hearings. • Managing and maintaining all incoming and outgoing documents, files and requests received for cases as well as tracking outstanding files and forms/materials required by the Judge. • Monitoring and updating list of cases to be heard in court/chamber to minimise delay in the processing of cases. • Regularly improving work processes or surface work improvement ideas and suggestions to management for approval. • Any other ad-hoc project work and duties as assigned.

• Well-organised and efficient, with a commitment to deliver high quality work. • Fast learner who is able to work under pressure, independently as well as in a team. • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues across all levels of the organisation, as well as members of the public and external stakeholders. • IT savvy. The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance. Only short-listed candidates will be notified.
