What the role is

The Communications Cluster in Public Service Division (PSD) is seeking a Content & Events Executive to join our team on a 12-month contract. You will produce engaging content for the public and fellow public officers, provide comprehensive event coverage for whole-of-government events, and manage digital media assets and equipment.

What you will be working on

Your specific job responsibilities are to: • Content Creation o Plan, research, create and edit photo and video content for PSD's social media channels (1-2 posts weekly), including conceptualising visual storytelling approaches and maintaining consistent brand style. o Adapt content into multiple aspect ratios for different social media platforms. o Track social media analytics and engagement metrics for photo/video content, providing insights to improve content strategy and audience engagement • Event Coverage & Documentation o Provide comprehensive event coverage through photography and/or videography for whole-of-government events, including pre-event planning, on-site shooting, post-event editing and delivering edited content within quick turnaround times. o Organise and maintain a systematic digital archive of photos and videos, including proper file naming, and folder structuring to ensure easy retrieval of content for future use. • Equipment Management o Maintain and manage photography/videography equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting equipment o Ensure proper storage and handling protocols.

What we are looking for

Requirements: • Background in content production or related fields • Experience in video production, including conceptualisation, scripting, filming and editing • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects) and MS Office applications • Well-versed in online and social media trends • Able to work irregular hours, when needed, to accommodate production schedules.
