We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the Environmental Hygiene and Compliance Branch under the Sanitation and Compliance Division, to safeguard high environmental hygiene standards for licensable aquatic facilities and registrable aerosol-generating systems. The candidate preferably with a science background will work in partnership with other departments such as licensing, information technology, enforcement, legal and public health policy team to review regulatory framework to ensure effective and efficient implementation of environmental hygiene policies.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct literature review on local and international policies to enhance the current regulatory framework
- Manage and develop IT systems to support the implementation of regulatory framework
- Consolidate and analyse statistics in support of decision making process for amendment of regulations
- Conduct engagement session to solicit feedback on amendment of regulations from external and internal stakeholders
- Implement new/ revised environmental hygiene operational policies and supporting regulatory frameworks e.g. strategies/guidelines etc
- Engage relevant stakeholders on policy intent on the revised policy
- Review of operational policies to enhance operation prudency
- Review current code of practices and guidelines

Requirements:
- Good writing skill, able to frame ideas and proposals in a clear and concise way
- Enjoy thinking strategically, planning and applying analytical reasoning in the area of policy review
- Strong analytical skills to make sense of multiple sources of information and put together a coherent picture
- Competent in statistics and data management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with others
- Organised, resourceful and able to multi-task
- Outgoing and pleasant personality
- Meticulous with an eye for detail
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
