What the role is
What you will be working on
• Provide individualized support to students in managing
challenging behaviours in school, including support
management for meltdown
• Support the SEN team to implement behaviour
intervention and learning support plans for students with
SEN in collaboration with academic team and other stakeholders
• Maintain records of student progress and interventions
implemented
• Assist with organising and implementing programmes for
students with SEN
• Partner with SEN team, academic team and other
stakeholders to create a supportive environment
conducive to the success of students with SEN
What we are looking for
• Relevant qualification in Inclusive and Special Education,
Education, Psychology, Applied or Educational
Psychology, Counselling and/or relevant areas
• At least 3 years of experience supporting students with
SEN, preferably in an educational or social service sector
setting
• Passion and disposition to care for and work with
students with SEN.
• Resourceful and good problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from
diverse background, and collaboratively with different
stakeholders in student support
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and
written) and administrative skills
• IT proficiency in data management, with Microsoft Excel,
Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in facilitating workshop and events
management would be an advantage
