The Police National Service Department (PNSD) plays a vital role in supporting Singapore's security through our Police National Servicemen (PNSmen). We are seeking a dynamic HR Performance and Welfare Officer to join our team in strengthening the PNS community through strategic welfare initiatives and recognition programmes.
As the HR Performance and Welfare Officer, you will be at the forefront of enhancing PNSmen's experience and engagement through various developmental and welfare programmes. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring you to work closely with different Divisions/Units to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives that recognise and support our PNSmen's contributions.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the welfare of our PNSmen while managing recognition programmes that celebrate excellence in Police National Service. What the role is
What you will be working on
In this role, you will spearhead various recognition and welfare initiatives for our PNSmen, including administering prestigious awards like the PNSmen of the Year and National Service Excellence Award, managing the PNSmen Cohesion Fund and overseeing developmental programmes such as the OCT/OBS Mentorship Programme. You will also be responsible for coordinating training courses, organising engagement activities like the annual Real Run and ensuring effective budget utilisation through GovWallet while managing the procurement of commemorative items for various recognition programmes.
What we are looking for
• experience in manpower resource management would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with knowledge of procurement processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm and approachable personality.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Meticulous and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Resourceful self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good team player with demonstrated managerial capabilities.
• Able to work beyond regular hours when there are work exigencies.
