We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy Director to lead our Public Engagement & Outreach efforts. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead innovative engagement strategies to enhance public awareness and understanding of Singapore’s Energy Story and initiatives for the transition towards a clean energy future.
You will lead outreach initiatives by engaging diverse stakeholders, including the general public, youths, schools, businesses and organisations as well as fostering co-creation and co-delivery of impactful outreach programmes for key stakeholder groups. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills to drive positive change in energy awareness, including being comfortable with managing multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently.

Responsibilities:
- Design strategic engagement and outreach strategies to elevate awareness and promote understanding of Singapore’s Energy Story across diverse audiences including the general public, youths, schools, businesses and organisations.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholder groups (internal and external) and facilitate effective dialogue to co-create and co-deliver outreach efforts.
- Lead the development and execution of outreach and engagement efforts across different channels (eg. events, workshops, school talks, webinars etc).
- Oversee the creation of compelling content tailored for different target audiences (eg. toolkits, social media campaigns, publicity materials, presentations etc).
- Lead and manage a small, dedicated team to ensure the successful execution of engagement initiatives while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Track and report the progress and impact of engagement initiatives to senior management, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective engagement strategies, build rapport and facilitate constructive dialogue amongst diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to develop long-term engagement strategies and drive data-driven solutions.
- Expertise in partnering internal and external advocates to amplify messages to support greater engagement and awareness. Excellent verbal communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly, while effectively engaging diverse audiences.
- Able to commit to stakeholder engagement activities on weekday evenings or weekends, if required.
