What the role is
What you will be working on
The intern will develop an end-to-end AWS data pipeline that ingests, processes, and develops visualisation of the IP traffic patterns, which can detect suspicious routes and flag suspicious servers.
The project aims to visualise the network behaviour in a dashboard format, highlight suspicious data transmission paths using easy to understand data visualisation elements. The intern will:
- Work on a cloud-native system that leverages AWS services to ingest datasets involving domains, IP addresses and traceroute data. The task includes creating and managing data buckets, designing data ingestion and cleaning pipeline, performing data consolidation and pivoting, and developing AI/ML logic to analyse and extract meaningful insights.
- Implement proper logging and error-handling mechanisms to ensure the reliability of the data processing pipeline.
What we are looking for
- Proficient with scripting, python and basic data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
- Proficient in AWS cloud computing concepts and setting up AWS cloud native services.
- Subject knowledge of Internet networking and IP addressing.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in cybersecurity or data analytics.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to technical challenges.
- Interns who can join from May 2025 onwards (6 months minimum commitment).
