What the role is
You will work in the Waste Accounts Management Branch (WAMB) under WIMD which manages the security deposit of waste disposal account holders, as well as the billing and collection of refuse disposal fees. WAMB also monitors the operation of the PPP WTE plants’ weighbridges, verifies the quantity of waste received and manages issues relating to weighbridges
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
Supervise day-to day operation of the revenue section of Waste Accounts Management Branch
Ensure that revenue collection records are properly maintained and closely monitor accounts which have outstanding debts
Conduct regular reviews of security deposits of refuse disposal account holders including expiring banker’s/insurance guarantees
Conduct reviews of all accounts to identify those that are inactive with a view to close such accounts and refund the security deposits
Prepare annual revenue estimates and review of fees and charges
Oversee the revenue collections from Keppel Seghers Waste-To-Energy Plant (KSTP), Senoko Waste-To-Energy Plant (SWTE), and TuasOne Waste-To-Energy Plant (TWTE)
Assist in reviewing Standard Operating Procedures for the regulation of KSTP, SWTE and TWTE
Transform the current processes in revenue collection and management of the refuse disposal accounts
Transform the current processes in monitoring and timely collection of refuse disposal fees
To conduct site audits at KSTP, SWTE and TWTE and to perform other ad-hoc tasks as part of the job scope
