What the role is

You oversee a team to deliver the portfolio of Operations Support Information Technology (OSIT) infrastructure projects to support MINDEF/SAF's current and future Information Technology (IT) operations.

What you will be working on

- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement OSIT infrastructure projects, formulate and execute plans - Establish related project and usage policies and guidelines, oversee the development of OSIT infrastructure projects' specifications and performance - Ensure that the project is in alignment with enterprise architectures and compliance to security and OSIT policies - Ensuring all projects are within regulatory requirements, industry standards, internal governance polices and existing enterprise architectures - Support the master planning and execute the OSIT Multi-Year Business Plan (MYBP) - Ensure smooth handling over of rolled out projects for operations Challenge(s) - Ensuring delivery of OSIT projects are within schedule and budget - Prioritising the delivery of the various projects across the entire OSIT portfolio by assessing various factors such as business value, criticality, cost, manpower effort, potential ROI and technology readiness. - Staying abreast of technology trends so as to push boundaries in performance standard as well as to stay up-to-date with the rapidly changing IT landscape and government policies, - Having a good understanding of the limitations and complexities of existing OSIT systems and services

What we are looking for

- Education in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or Public Policy - At least 10 years of working experience in the relevant field, of which at least 5 years of work experience in project management and/or IT infra and services delivery - Strong knowledge and working experience with system management and IT governance. - Strong leadership and communication skills - Good organisation acumen - Ability to engage the various stakeholders Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
