What the role is

Reporting to MPA's Hydrographic Division, candidate will be part of our team of maritime professionals whose responsibilities are to ensure safe navigation in Singapore waters by providing hydrographic, cartographic and aids to navigation products and services.

What you will be working on

Your duties will include but not limited to inspecting, maintaining and upgrading:
- Civil structures associated with marine aids to navigation (AtoN), i.e. buoys, beacons lighthouses, in Singapore waters. This includes working at heights, supervising AtoN deployment at sea and their maintenance. 
- Electrical components associated with marine aids to navigation. This includes testing and assessing these systems using appropriate tools, calibrated equipment and etc. 

The candidate is also expected to perform administrative roles such as liaising with internal/ external customers, report writing, project management and procurement processes.
 

What we are looking for

Candidate should possess qualification in relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering/Marine Engineering/Electrical Engineering. Candidates with prior working experience in civil / equipment / electrical system maintenance will have an advantage. You must be independent, meticulous with an eye for detail and a good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
