What the role is

You will play an important role in safeguarding patient safety and public interest through (i) robust licensing, inspection and audit of healthcare institutions regulated under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA); and (ii) inspection and audit of subvented centre-based care and home care providers. You will also be reviewing, developing and operationalising standards and guidelines, as well as playing an important role in the coordination of compliance management and enforcement activities. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

1. Inspect and assess nursing homes and other licensable care service providers for compliance with prescribed requirements under the relevant laws. 2. Oversee and manage the service audits of subvented centre-based care and home care service providers to ensure that they comply with the Service Requirements under the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes Act. 2. Conduct reviews and respond to feedback against HCSA licensable healthcare institutions 3. Participate and work with multiple stakeholders in the review of regulatory standards and process improvement activities.

What we are looking for

• Degree and above in healthcare-related disciplines (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health disciplines) • Previous working experience in a healthcare institution preferred • Possesses integrity and honesty to uphold rules and regulations impartially, to safeguard patient safety and welfare • Possesses good planning and analytical skills • Possess good written and communication skills • Able to work independently and in a team • Able to think on your feet and work under pressure with minimal supervision and produce high quality work within timelines • Able to front licensing inspections and audits with healthcare providers independently Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge, and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
