As Programme/Project Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of ICT capabilities through effective planning, management, and deployment of all resources. What the role is
What you will be working on
The successful job holder may be assigned to manage the development or maintenance of ICT systems or manage the ICT infrastructure such as networks and service. He/She will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):
• Design and implement solutions to support the computing requirements to meet business needs and comply with Whole-of-Government IT architecture, policies, standards and framework;
• Manage and monitor project plan, project milestones, risk and change management to ensure delivery of the project is on schedule, within scope and budget;
• Manage the application maintenance and support services covering contract management, service level management, change management, problem management, audit and security services and risk management;
• Manage contractors and ICT Systems / ICT infrastructure, service delivery and support to meet the intended availability, continuity and capacity requirements;
• Identify potential project risks and its implication and to recommend mitigating measures so as to manage the risks;
• Communicate and explain technical concepts and ideas to non-technical audiences;
• Other ad-hoc initiatives and projects may be assigned.
What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Studies, Information Technology, Electronics, Communications Engineering
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience and 3 years’ leadership/supervisory experience in ICT project management or any other related fields;
• Possess project management certification such as PMP, CITPM or equivalent
• Possess good interpersonal skills
• Ability to cope with a reasonably high level of stress and demonstrate resiliency, drive and level headedness
• Ability to adapt and work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team
• Possess good analytical skills and professional integrity
• Possess good written and communication skills
All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
